Asante Post-Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Residency Program - Medford, Oregon
Asante's PGY1 residency provides broad experiences including pharmacokinetics, antimicrobial stewardship, anticoagulation, cardiology, oncology, internal medicine, critical care, pediatrics/NICU, infusion services, diabetes education, nutrition support, practice management, medication safety, informatics, and rural hospital. The resident has the opportunity to teach at the university level while earning a teaching certificate. All residents act as preceptors for pharmacy students, participate in P&T committee, write for the pharmacy bulletin, present continuing education to pharmacy professionals, and participate in community service. Residents complete a major project, present a poster at Midyear, and present at Western States Conference.

Special Requirements for Acceptance:
PhORCAS application including: Letter of intent; Individual Assessment for Residency Training; Applicants must contact the residency director to obtain the document: Individual Assessment of Residency Training. Pharmacy education official transcripts; Three references, may use the standard PhORCAS format, an additional letter is optional; Asante's online application http://www.asante.org/Careers/.
The Individual Assessment for Residency Training is to be uploaded into PhORCAS as supplemental material. Applicants must have a PharmD, or equivalent experience. Our program will be participating in PhORCAS.
Education: Residency applicants must possess or be receiving a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm D) and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Oregon before the start of the program.
Certifications: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) is required for Pharmacy Residents.

We provide an Online Medical Library that includes OVID, PubMed, Trip Database, Clinical Trials, UpToDate, BestBETs, AHRQ, Cochrane Evidence-based healthcare resources, and UpToDate.
