Practice Manager Position II Overview

The Practice Manager II for Asante Physician Partners (APP) is responsible for managing all facets of practice operations for assigned practice(s), to include management of all practice support personnel; financial and budget performance; patient flow; facilities; supplies and equipment; telecommunications; physician/provider scheduling; patient appointment scheduling; patient relations/experience; front-end revenue cycle operations; clinic staff development; electronic medical record support and optimization; quality improvement and LEAN initiatives; and practice development.

In so doing, directly manages all practice support staff while working in strong and active collaboration with APP providers and key health system and community leaders. Ensures effective day-to-day practice operations in accordance with Asante's mission, vision and values. Scope of responsibility encompasses the following: Specialty/Primary Care practices comprising a total of ten or more providers; Specialty/Primary Care practices comprising more than one specialty (i.e. Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine or Primary Care and Specialty Care) with a minimum of ten providers; Specialty/Primary Care practices with multiple practice locations with a minimum of eight providers; or Specialty/Primary Care Practice Managers who have taken on additional project management or an ongoing leadership role designated by APP/Asante Leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience; required

Master's degree in business administration or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience; preferred

Experience

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management or a related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience; required

Master's degree in business administration, management or a related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience; preferred

Certifications

Eligible for nominee status for the Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) certification from the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE); required. Must attain certification within two years of employment; required

LEAN Certification. Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) from the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE); preferred
