RN- ACH - Same Day Surgery

The RN for Asante Ashland Community Hospital (AACH) is responsible for delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interacting with patients and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing

Asante Ashland Community Hospital, located in Ashland, Oregon, is a 49-bed community hospital that features a birthing center, surgery center, diagnostic imaging, a laboratory, respiratory testing and surgery. Outpatient services include internal medicine, home health, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine. Founded in 1907, the hospital has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and the changing demands of healthcare.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Associates Degree in Nursing required

Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience

Two or more years clinical experience preferred

Ability to cross train in endoscopy

*Call is required for this position*

License/Certification

Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association required upon start

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start

Must obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified from American Heart Association (AHA) within 4 months of start date

ASPAN certification for CPAN and/or CAPA preferred

SGNA certification for CGN preferred

Required Skills

Ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders and policy and procedures

Demonstrates accurate and timely documentation according to guidelines

Ability to provide personal patient care to ensure comfort and well being to the patient, acknowledging physiological and psychological needs

Ability to work in a team environment

Must be able to manage time and determine priorities
