Facilities Site Manager - ACH Position Overview

The Facilities Site Manager for Asante's Ashland Community Hospital (AACH) is responsible for providing leadership and vision for AACH Facilities staff. This position will assume and ensure the overall success of the AACH Facilities with focus on, but not limited to, grounds, plant operations, preventive maintenance, energy management, environmental safety, and service contracts management. Coordinate staff development to include: recruiting, retaining, orienting, training, re-training, evaluating of department personnel. The nature of this position requires observation of possible safety hazards and maintenance of a safe working environment. The position also ensures compliance with established local, state, and federal regulatory agencies and associated guidelines (e.g. OSHA, NFPA, UFC, DEQ, EPA, OAR, and JCAHO).



Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent in education and experience required


5 years of progressive management experience with evidence of operational excellence and innovation required

Minimum of three in the health care industry required

Direct experience with matrix management organizational reporting structures required


Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past ten years and proof of insurance required

Professional Engineer (PE) licensed by State of Oregon preferred

Journeyman Certifications in Electrical, HVAC, and/or Plumbing preferred

Required Skills

Demonstrated skills in the areas of physical plant operations, budgetary and resource management, and healthcare administration

Demonstrated skills in the areas of personnel management and development (teaching, coaching, mentoring).

Demonstrated success in relationship building and customer service

Excellent oral and written English skills applicable to all areas of service

Must have basic understanding and proficiency in computers and related software applications such as Microsoft Office and work order maintenance programs

Able to read and interpret governmental and regulatory agency documents such as OAR statutes, OSHA Compliance codes, NFPA, DEQ, and EPA compliance codes

Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical & mechanical prints, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and schematic diagrams.
