We have an opportunity available for Radiologic Tech at Asante Physician Partners (APP). In an outpatient clinic setting under the direction of a physician, the Rad Tech/MA performs tests and procedures, including radiologic procedures used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Also provides care and performs specific tasks and duties that assist in patient care management. These duties are delegated in relation to the degree of training and in accordance with the policies of Asante and respective to state laws governing such action and activities. May also assist with front office, surgery scheduling, billing and medical records, fielding and conducting patient calls as requested, managing In Basket, preparing charts, and entering ancillary service orders and computerized provider order entries (CPOE).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent with successful completion of radiology technology coursework required.
License/Certification: Must be licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) or licensed in Radiography by the OBMI with certification in Radiography (R). Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start.
Experience: 1 year orthopedic x-ray experience is required. Preferred: 1-2 years orthopedic x-ray experience and 1 year experience performing medical assisting procedures in a clinic setting, or successful completion of a clinic preceptor ship; previous medical office experience in an orthopedic practice applying orthopedic casts.
This Rad Tech opportunity is based out of APP Grants Pass Urgent Care Clinic.
Other required qualifications include the ability to operate medical equipment necessary to perform procedures; superior prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple changing priorities and ability to perform under pressure; ability to learn a variety of medical procedures such as blood draws and medical assisting; ability to interact with all ages of people and a diverse population of patients, at their level of comprehension, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients; skills in maintaining effective working relationships with medical staff; ability to maintain quality control standards; ability to assist critically ill and/or elderly patients between waiting and exam room areas (with gurneys, wheelchairs, etc.); and ability to learn computer systems required to gain access to patient records (Asante MD, Synapse/PACS, WebDV, ProSolve, PMMC WebHeart, WITTEPIC, etc.).
