The ITS Epic Supervisor is responsible for staff-level leadership and supervision within the ITS Epic team, including scheduling, go-live and support shift assignment, queue monitoring and incident assignment. Provides hour-to-hour and day-to-day leadership and supervision for Epic Analysts. Supports Epic implementation, upgrade, and support processes as well as support of other Epic teams. Also involved with providing technologies such as Health Information Exchanges, AsanteLink and Care Everywhere that assist in strengthening relationships and connectivity for providers. Provides management support related to reporting, procedure development. The supervisor may be required to support a variety of hours at a variety of locations and may include on-call work. Reports to ITS Manager/Director and participates in the ITS Leadership Team.

May be required to take call on a rotational basis.


Education: Bachelors degree in a related field or the equivalent in education and experience is required. Bachelors degree or Masters degree in a related field is preferred.

Experience: 5 or more years progressively responsible experience in an IT or IS environment dealing with the implementations and support of systems - 2 years of which were providing direct project management, supervisory or management support in an EMR environment is required. Also required is experience in leading complex implementations and optimization; and experience in a supervisory or lead role.

Preferred experience includes additional experience in a healthcare implementation or project management environment; experience providing staff-level direction to analysts and/or experience with scheduling and assignment management; certification in an Epic Systems module; experience with Epic systems or other vendor systems that serve Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records; and experience in leading teams.
