Staffing Office Assistant Position Overview
The Staffing Office Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring appropriate daily staffing needs are within departmental guidelines for patient care areas by evaluating staffing needs according to patient levels and making the appropriate adjustments as necessary. Also maintains patient educational materials are available to departments.
The schedule for this position is a late swing shift from 1:30pm to 11:00pm. This will include some week days as well as rotating every other weekend.
As the Staffing Office Assistant at Asante you will have the opportunity to:
Demonstrate outstanding Customer Relations with each interaction
Demonstrate quality evaluation of staffing needs resulting in accurate adjustments to unit staffing for the day
Document absences and hours worked for accurate payroll
High School diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree in related field, preferred
Successful completion of a medical terminology course, preferred
Minimum of 2 years clerical experience in a fast-paced professional environment required
Experience in health care environment, preferred
Computer training, preferred
Experience with staffing and scheduling systems, preferred
Ability to solve complex problems with good prioritization and organization skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, telephone skills which project a positive and professional image
Ability to quickly learn new software
Flexibility in arranging work schedule to meet demands of staffing office
