Human Resources Manager Employee Relations/Organizational Development Position Overview

The HR Manager for Asante plans, organizes, and manages an assigned Human Resources functional area and supervises assigned staff ensuring service and delivery excellence. Together with team, the HR Manager establishes processes and programs that support organizational goals which may include providing Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, project management or program implementation support. In this role, the HR Manager may also provide strategic, operational and consultative human resources support to business units in the areas of workforce planning, compensation, performance management, change management, organizational planning, litigation, and training. This position focuses on Employee Relations and Organizational Development.

Partner with various stakeholders to foster relationships that assist in improving employee productivity, job satisfaction, and retention of personnel

Assist in creating and maintaining a culture that fosters staff self-development and continued learning

Work within an integrated Human Resources system to provide solutions to organizational needs

Develop and maintain a network of community resources in order to support current & future needs

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required (may substitute additional experience for education on a year-for-year basis).

Advanced education/degree in Human Resources or related area, preferred

Required Experience

5 years relevant experience in Human Resources (to include previous experience in a leadership or management role)

Knowledge of employee and labor relations practices

Working knowledge of current regulatory requirements and standards relating to the function of human resource management

Knowledge of federal and state employment law

Working knowledge of compensation practices

Experience in organizational consulting with employee development knowledge and experience in delivery of training

Preferred Experience

Healthcare industry experience

Experience working with multiple locations

Experience in union environment and the ability to work effectively in a labor/management partnership environment

Client based consulting experience including leadership development and organization design

Other Required Skills

Good leadership and project management skills

Good customer service skills/ability to work with managers and non-managers of all levels

Good consulting skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers and vendors

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Understanding and demonstrated ability in presentation skills, meeting facilitation, conflict management and relationship building

Preferred Certifications

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certified by HRCI

Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certified by Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI)

Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) by Society for Human Resource Management

Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI)

International Public Management Association HR Certified Professional (IPMA-CP)
