Training and Development Consultant Position Overview

 

The Training and Development Consultant is responsible for coordinating the planning, provision and evaluation of educational programs and related activities. This position will partner with a variety of internal stakeholders to design, develop, and implement appropriate organization and talent solutions to develop employees, create an engaged learning culture, and build organizational strength. This role will serve as an internal consultant and will identify, prioritize, and build enterprise-wide capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. In addition, they will facilitate development sessions as well as advise and coach leaders on change management, employee engagement, performance excellence, team effectiveness, organizational structure, Asante Experience strategies, and other areas that impact productivity and achievement of business goals that support Asante and Asante's strategic plan. This role will report to the Director of Organizational and Leadership Development and will collaborate with HR and business leaders to ensure it is aligned with Asante's overall strategy and direction.

 

As a Training and Development Consultant at Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

 

- Coordinate the planning, provision and evaluation of educational programs and related activities, such as the Asante AHA Community Training Center, Crisis Intervention classes and/or

   violence in the Workplace training

- Assist with daily operations of Education office to meet customer needs

- Work collaboratively with the Education Team and other key stakeholders to identify training needs, develop training objectives and curricula to meet these needs, evaluate effectiveness, and

   then adapt accordingly

- Demonstrate strong training skills that promotes learner mastery of new or expanded skills and knowledge

- Collaboratively participate in departmental project planning and delivery

- Support the roll out of system initiatives as needed

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Education

 

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with demonstrated ability in teaching/learning principles as well as educational concepts and process required

- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Health Education or related field preferred

 

 

Experience

 

- Minimum of three years experience in planning, providing, and evaluating programs in health care or related field required

- Experience in the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs and projects with minimal supervision required

- Experience in healthcare preferred

 

Certifications

 

- Certified as a Basic or Advanced Life Support (ALS) Instructor by the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred

 

 

Required Skills

 

- Communicate clearly in verbal and written communication

- Ability to work in a team setting with Cooperation, flexibility, motivation, and enthusiasm

- Knowledge of learning principles, concepts and processes with the ability to apply these principles to the adult learner

- Advanced ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and/or PowerPoint and then train these skills to others

- Ability to present topics effectively in a group setting and then reinforce and motivate adult learner behavior

- Ability to assess the current knowledge base of learners, apply appropriate innovative and creative learning approaches, and independently organize and follow-through with educational

   programs/projects and problem solving activities
