Application Analyst 2/SharePoint Administrator Position Overview

The Application Analyst assists in the coordination and monitoring of the design, development, modification and implementation of information technology applications within Asante. This includes analyzing and modifying data systems and system design; determining system specifications and recording layouts; involvement with design, testing and implementation of systems; coordinating with the Super Users and system vendors; providing overall process review and recommendations including system optimization; and developing procedures to process information to meet user needs including use of report writers and data engines. The Application Analyst may also support multiple applications; assist in training technical support and Super Users in effective utilization of database1; and support multiple systems. The expectation in this role is to perform assignments concerned with minimum supervision and serve as Tier 3 technical support. Also, the primary focus for this role will be as the SharePoint Administrator.

As an Application Analyst 2/SharePoint Administrator at Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

Serve as the SharePoint Farm Administrator, supporting multiple environments for development and production, for on-premises configurations

Make technical recommendations in the area of performance improvements and availability such as redundancy architecture and load balancing

Manage all updates, patches, bug fixes, and other deployments to the applications and the SharePoint Farm

Provide support for the design, management and implementation of best practices for over 70 site collections, including custom developed and 'out-of-the-box' solutions

Participate in regular SharePoint 'health check' sessions; plan, test and implement configuration recommendations and best practices for the SharePoint server environment

Assist in familiarizing users and peers with SharePoint features and functions

Collaborate with customers and business analysts to design SharePoint solutions that satisfy business requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree required in mathematics, computer science, information science or a related field (or 5 years of equivalent work experience if no degree) is required

Experience

At least 3 years experience working with healthcare systems to include design, integration, implementation, and support of a system

Experience must include at least 2 years of experience as a systems analyst

Report writer tool development (Crystal Reports), preferred

Database administration (SQL, Oracle, Sybase), preferred

Required Skills

Strong skills in documentation and written communication

Ability to consistently meet timelines, deadlines, milestones by organizing and prioritizing tasks and projects

Advanced interpersonal skills to represent the department to internal and external customers including the ability to effectively communicate with Asante's management, employees, physicians, clinicians, vendors and consultants

Ability able to communicate to those that don't have a technical background

Ability to work independently and on teams and to be self motivated and goal oriented

Clinical background and/or Project Management experience, preferred
