POSITION SUMMARY

The Central Scheduling Representative schedules and pre-registers patients for services. This position is responsible for obtaining current demographic, insurance and other information required by third-party payers and works collaboratively with referrals, authorizations and financial screening teams to ensure all necessary pre-authorizations have been secured, nonemergent procedures have been financially cleared, and patients are apprised of their financial obligations before the date of service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Associate degree, preferred

Experience

• Healthcare related insurance; scheduling; front desk; or comparable experience is required
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate through the National Association of Healthcare Access Management, preferred
