Lead Communications Operator (Guest Services)

Position Details: FTE: 1.00 | Full Time | 1st Shift - Days

Salary: Typical starting rang is $17.00 -$21.25 (or higher) depending on experience/qualifications

Position Summary

The Lead Communications Operator assists the Site Supervisor in the effective day-to-day operation of the switchboard, including the direction and coordination of daily work assignments of departmental staff and ensuring adequate staffing levels. The Lead Operator also serves as the staff's role model for adhering to Asante's mission and guiding values and encourages staff to uphold these values in their daily actions.



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
  • Associate Degree, preferred


  • Experience in a fast-paced health care environment of an increasingly responsible nature with at least two years of experience in a hospital or other medically-based switchboard is required

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to maintain a calm and effectual demeanor during stressful and crisis situations
  • Thorough understanding of all departmental responsibilities in responding to urgent and emergent situations
  • Should possess a clear and articulate speaking voice
