This position for the Advance Wound Center at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and is for both inpatient and outpatient settings. The clinic is open Monday-Friday and closed for most major holidays.

Position Summary

The LPN is a professional caregiver responsible and accountable for assigned patient(s), contributing to the utilization of the nursing process, under the supervision and direction of the RN. The LPN performs all duties in accordance with department policies and procedures and scope of practice.

The Advanced Wound Center has a dynamic team who are passionate about the work they do. This position will require an individual who excels as a team member, enjoys wound care, loves to learn and develop new skills and is comfortable with a physically active work environment. In this role, the LPN assists in providing direct and indirect care for patients with acute and chronic wounds, tubes, ostomies, burns and pressure ulcers.

Qualifications

Education

  • Completion of a wound care certification program preferred upon hire, or if eligible, within a year of hire
  • Completion of an ostomy care certification program preferred

Experience

  • Wound Care experience preferred
  • Experience in an acute patient care environment is preferred

Licensure/Certifications

  • LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
  • WCC: Wound Care Certification by National Alliance of Wound Care & Ostomy (NAWCO), preferred
