Position Summary

The Oncology Research Nurse is responsible for the management of oncology patients on clinical trials and program development for and coordination of the collaborative oncology clinical research program.

Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing the Nursing Process as the basis for management of the clinical trial process.
• Development, utilization and ongoing review of policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory and protocol requirement.
• Utilizing oncology clinical research knowledge base to provide collaboration with and education to physicians, clinical staff, and the community.
• Providing data management to include maintaining compliance with protocol treatment plan and documentation of accurate data; completion and submission of required cases report forms according to study sponsor schedule; and proving input to and compliance with department budget and collaborative research agreements.

Job Requirements

• RN: Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical oncology experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• OCN: Oncology Certified Nurse.
• Chemotherapy Certification.
