Position Summary

The Short Stay Unit (SSU) at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) has 15 beds within a pre and post-surgical unit. We admit and prepare patients for various surgeries from open heart, GYN, urology, ENT and pediatric to name a few. As a dynamic nursing unit, we provide nurses the ability to make a difference while providing a comfortable and excellence surgical experience for our patients.

In our unit, you will have an opportunity to learn and grow your nursing skills within a fast-paced and collegial team. With the ability to care for a variety of patients, from geriatric, adult to pediatric, you will educate, reassure, and provide compassion to our surgical patients.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, preferred

Experience

  • Peri-Op, Procedural or ED experience is required
  • Charge RN experience preferred

Licensure/Certifications

  • RN: Registered Nurse licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start

Preferred Certifications

  • CAPA: Certified Ambulatory Peri-anesthesia Nurse
  • WCC: Wound Care Certified
