POSITION SUMMARY

The RN Infusion Oncology Educator will design, organize, implement and evaluate educational programs, orientations, continuing education, and in services that facilitate the professional growth, skill development, competency for RN direct care providers in the outpatient Infusion oncology setting. The educator will utilize evidence- based practice to evaluate current unit practices and implement new unit best practice. The position will also include organizing, coordinating and conducting patient specific education of oncology patients on their chemotherapy regimen and treatment plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required

Master's degree in Nursing, preferred

Experience

• 5 years progressive experience in an oncology or infusion clinical setting, required

Licensure/Certifications

• OCN: Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), required
• RN: Registered Nurse (RN) by Oregon State Board of Nursing
