CVO Coordinator

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Monday-Friday 0800-1700

This role can be based out of either Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford or Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in Grants Pass.

We will consider candidates at either the CVO Coordinator or Medical Staff Specialist levels for this position. Requirements for each level are noted below.


CVO Coordinator- starting at $24.81-$34.11 per hour, depending on relevant experience

Medical Staff Specialist- starting at $21.87-$30.07 per hour, depending on relevant experience

Position Summary

The Credentials Verification Organization (CVO) Coordinator performs initial and reappointment provider credentialing and privileging and coordinates the process for other Medical Staff Services professionals while ensuring completeness and accuracy through routine audits. The CVO Coordinator assists the Medical Staff Services Director in the development and implementation of processes to ensure ongoing compliance with Bylaws, policies, and regulations and develops and maintains expertise with credentialing software and assists other team members with questions, report writing, etc.

As the CVO Coordinator for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate credentialing/privileging and recredentialing/privileging activities of providers across the system.
  • Process initial credentialing/privileging and recredentialing/privileging applications in compliance with Bylaws, policies, regulations, etc.
  • Act as the Super User for credentialing software and, as such, acts as resource to other members of the MSS team.
  • Assist the Medical Staff Services Director with the development of credentialing and privileging policies, procedures, and documents necessary for an effective credentialing and privileging process.



  • Bachelor's degree, preferred


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credentialing or Medical Staff Services role with increasing responsibilities required


  • CPCS: Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist required
  • CPMSM: Certified Professional Medical Services Management, preferred

Position Summary

The Medical Staff Specialist assists with coordinating continuing medical education activities, library searches, payor enrollment and document control and supports other areas of Medical Staff Services as requested.



  • Associate degree, preferred


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare office setting is required


  • PESC: Provider Enrollment Specialist Certificate, preferred
