Patient Relations Coordinator

Patient Relations Coordinator

The Coordinator for Patient Relations is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating our patient relations program. They address complaints and concerns from patients and their friends and family, within a timely manner and work with staff to resolve their complaints. They operate by representing the welfare of the patient and family or opposing relationships by developing rapport with the families and healthcare providers for the benefit of the patient.

The coordinator will educate patients, family members and professional staff regarding patient rights, advocating for a satisfactory resolution for all involved. This individual will also facilitate programs such as our service recovery and our peer review process.



Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience required

Completion of the Patient Advocacy Certificate Program preferred


2 years related experience in a healthcare setting with regular patient contact and an understanding of hospital policies and procedures

Knowledge and experience in compliant resolution management, patient advocacy and medical ethics
