Position Summary

The Manager of Rehab Services ensures that a particular division of Rehabilitation Services fulfills and supports the Asante vision of providing excellent medical services, customer services and work environment. Approximately 10% of this position is comprised of patient care; 90% is comprised of management duties, however these proportions may change on a daily basis. The person in this role will have oversite over these department(s) at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) and Asante Ashland Community Hospital (AACH)

Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Human Resource, Organizational Leadership, and Organizational Development: Contributes to a culture that fosters staff self-development and continued learning. Contributes to definitions of qualifications and performance expectations for staff positions. Ensures the competence of all staff is assessed, maintained, demonstrated, and improved continually.
  • Financial Performance: Adjusts staffing levels to match workload and budget targets. Assures that reimbursable bills are generated consistent with payor guidelines. Approves supplies and other expenses prudently within budget guidelines. Achieves agreed upon targets for workload growth or cost management.
  • Administration of Regulated Functions: Systematic administration and audit of key functions such as competency measurement, quality assurance, labor laws, licensure validation , and life/safety drills.
  • Constituent Relationships: Encourages feedback from internal and external customers, including patients/families, to monitor service effectiveness, identify problems with work processes, and ensure that customer needs are met.
  • Department Performance and Improvement: Sets expectations, develops plans and manages processes to measure, assess and improve the quality of department, management, clinical and support activities.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior supervisory or leadership experience.
