CVTS Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity!


Asante is seeking an experienced non-surgical Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our CVTS team in Medford, Oregon. The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant will be working with a team of 2 CVTS surgeons and 7 NPs/PAs, Practice Manager, RN, MA's and support staff, and will provide care to established cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients within a defined scope of practice. This Provider will have primary responsibilities of rounding/case management in the CCU and additional responsibilities including care coordination, medication management, and discharge planning/referrals in the heart center.

Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford is a 378-bed state-of-the-art facility, Level II Trauma Center and regional referral hospital that offers a wide range of high-quality medical care to residents of Southern Oregon.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program or an accredited Physician's Assistant program approved by the American Medical Association.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in CCU is desired. Will consider applicants who have completed a prior rotation in CCU as part of their advanced practitioner program.

Licensure/Certifications: One of the following required upon start:

o Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) along with a DEA certificate
o Physician Assistant certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants along with a DEA certificate

Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
