The Manager of Wound Care for Jackson and Josephine County, is clinically, administratively, and fiscally accountable for Asante inpatient and outpatient wound care services provided in Jackson County (current sites of care are Asante Ashland Community Hospital and Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center). The Manager reports to the hospital's VP of Operations, and assures that the mission, goals, and philosophy of the hospital and nursing service are consistently implemented within their scope of responsibility. The Manager has 24-hour responsibility for administrative services and patient care for wound care services and facilitates the Asante vision and values by setting professional standards in an open, creative, accountable, non-threatening and supportive environment.

As part of this role, the Manager assures inpatient, and outpatient wound care meets quality standards in a cost-effective manner. In addition, the Manager supports and provides performance improvement, statistical data collection, patient and community education, and management of wound care related organizational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as consultant to interdepartmental staff to consider strategies and address wound care related issues for their respective staff and area.
  • Establishes clear performance expectations for all direct reports and holds staff accountable accordingly. Provides regular feedback to all members of staff regarding their performance in clinical and interpersonal situations. Solicits and uses 360-degree feedback from peers and staff to enhance staff performance.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration with other departments and services regarding wound care

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5 years progressive leadership/supervisory experience in hospital or provider-based outpatient programs with associated professional and facility billing practices
  • Experience in Wound Care strongly preferred

Licensure

  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing (or eligible for licensure) required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field preferred
