Position Summary

The Supervisor of Resource Management is responsible for supervising staff and providing leadership, guidance, training, mentorship and support to team members. This role is ultimately responsible for the ongoing evaluation and development of Utilization Review and Case Management Specialist staff through performance feedback based on a variety of reporting and auditing results. The Supervisor understands the focus on managing the health of a designated population and the need for the care coordination team to work closely with physicians, hospital staff and other team members that are part of the care continuum. The Supervisor collaborates with their direct manager on related goal setting and planning; and provides consistent and timely information and feedback to the manager, including input regarding financial and/or quality performance and human resource issues.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN), or Bachelors degree in related field, preferred

Experience

  • Two years of demonstrated leadership in utilization/case management within a health care environment, with emphasis on community health resources and program development.

Licensure/Certifications

  • RN: Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required upon start
  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
  • CCM: Certified Case Manager, preferred
  • ACM: Accredited Case Manager, preferred
