Position Title: Cytotech Supervisor

Additional Details: Shifts will approximately be 8:00am to 5:00pm, flexibility is needed. Will need to also cover shifts as cytologist as needed.

Position Summary

The Cytotech Supervisor ensures high quality, accurate testing and result reporting in cytology discipline through appropriate procedures and quality control/quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrates excellence in providing good patient care.
• Demonstrates good teamwork to create a positive work environment.
• Ensure all equipment and stains/reagents are properly maintained. Write and review processing procedures. Educate staff. Measured by audit and direct observation by Pathologists

Position Qualifications

Experience

• 5 years of responsible working experience as a cytotechnologist in a pathologist directed laboratory, required.
• Thorough knowledge within the field of cytology.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in cytology, general science or related field, required.

Certification/Licensure

• CT: Cytotechnologist, required.
