Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Primarily Mon - Fri / 8AM - 5PM

Position Summary

The Associate BioMed Technician is an entry level position within the Biomedical Engineering Department responsible for providing administrative and technical support for the department and staff. Strong computer skills are required. Duties of this position include:

• Assisting Biomedical Engineering staff and leadership in the production of reports and presentations.
• Submitting purchase orders for parts; organizing, receiving, and shipping parts and devices; and assisting in maintaining an adequate and organized parts inventory.
• Arranging vendor service calls and coordinating vendor onsite visits for repairs and support.
• Assisting in the assembly and cleaning of equipment.
• Rounding in clinical areas to retrieve defective equipment.
• Opening work orders for equipment received for repair and distributing recalls and safety alerts.

Position Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required.

Experience

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications is required.
