Clinical Risk Analyst (Risk Management)

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.000000 | Full Time | Primarily Monday - Friday, 0800-1700 (8am-5pm)


Position Summary

The Clinical Risk Analyst works closely with colleagues to preserve the assets of the organization and promote a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors. This position provides oversight and guidance on clinical risk related events and maintains a systematic process for tracking and trending safety events. The Clinical Risk Analyst ensures assessment, identification, evaluation, reporting and follow up on risk management activities including timely reporting of serious safety events to Asante leadership.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a clinical health are such as nursing, required
  • Master's degree in a health related field, preferred

Experience

  • 3 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: risk management, quality management, quality improvement, health information management, healthcare or business administration, legal support, or insurance claims investigation and settlement or patient care.
  • Broad knowledge of healthcare regulations including The Joint Commission or DNV, state and federal.

Licenses/Certifications

  • RN: Registered Nurse licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, required
  • ARM: Associate in Risk Management, preferred
  • CPHRM: Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management, preferred
  • CPCU: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, preferred
  • CSP: Certified Safety Professional, preferred
