Cardiac Monitor Technician - Cardiovascular Recovery
Additional Position Details: FTE: 0.25 | On-call | 1st Shift - Days / This would be a 10-hour shift every Monday from 5:30am to 4:00pm.
As a Monitor Tech at Asante, you would also earn shift differentials (extra pay) when working any swing, night, or weekend hours.
The Cardiac Monitor Tech (also known as a Telemetry Tech) is responsible for the unit's clerical duties, transcription of orders, communication of information and requisition of supplies and equipment. Additional responsibilities include monitoring, documenting and interpreting EKG rhythms and/or hemodynamic lines for assigned patients on the unit under the direction of the RN, LPN, Physician or Physician Assistant. Related responsibilities include documenting and reporting EKG abnormalities, changes, or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
Required Skills/Abilities
PLEASE NOTE: As indicated in the requirements noted above, this position requires successful completion of a basic cardiac rhythms course and/or the ability to pass Asante's Basic Cardiac Rhythms test in order to qualify for the position and be forwarded for consideration.
