Asante's imaging experts go above and beyond. All our technicians are highly trained, exceeding state requirements with advanced certifications in MRI, CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, and bone density scanning. Our imaging program is supervised by a board-certified radiologist who works directly with technicians at the hospital to interpret test results and offer guidance on complex cases.

While candidates at Special Procedures Tech 2 level are preferred, candidates at the Special Procedures Tech 1 level may be considered. Details regarding qualifications for both levels are noted below.

Both levels may require floating to X-ray or CT depending on additional licenses when there isn't a procedure in the Cath Lab.

Special Procedures Tech 2 - Position Overview

Performs various cardiovascular and angiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols; exercises professional judgment in performance of service; provides patient care.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Prior cardiac catherization or peripheral angiography experience.
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association is required upon start.
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified through the American Heart Association is required upon start.

One of the following is required:

• Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), or
• Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV), or
• Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or
• Licensed in Cardiovascular by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with a Subspecialty in Angiography (RCIS) (CCI), or
• If the license by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) is in transition of renewal, the certification part of the license may need to be verified by the appropriate national agency: ARRT, ARDMS, ARMRIT, CCI or NMTCB.

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology.

Special Procedures Tech 1 - Position Overview

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association is required upon start.
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support certified through the American Heart Association is required upon start.
• Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) - OR - Licensed in Radiography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Radiography (R).
• OBMI Temporary License in respective specialty may be considered. Permanent licensure must be obtained within 1 year of hire or prior to temporary license expiration.
