Hospitalist Float Pool Opportunity!

Asante is seeking a full-time Hospitalist Float Pool to join our amazing team at Asante Three Rivers Hospital in Grants Pass, Oregon. This is a full-time position with flexible block scheduling and will work at Ashland Community Hospital in Ashland and Three Rivers Medical Center in Grant Pass, Oregon. Candidates must be BC/BE in Internal Medicine.


Position Summary

The Hospitalist oversee and administer the continuum of hospital care from the time the patient is admitted until the time of discharge. Responsibilities include patient care and leadership related to hospital care, as well as carrying out medical policies established by Asante Health System. They may manage many aspects of a patient's hospital care to include process management, communications among other physicians involved in the patient's care, discharge planning, and patient/family communications.

Position Qualifications

Experience

  • Current or recent experience in hospital medicine with experience and comfort in caring for patients in area of specialty is required

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited medical school is required
  • Successful completion of residency training in an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency program is required

Required Certification/Licensure

  • MD or DO licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association
  • Board Certified / Eligible in internal medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties
  • Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
