Per Diem Nurse Practitioner - Wound Care in Ashland
WHY ASANTEThe Advanced Wound Center at Asante Ashland Community Hospital is looking for a per diem Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This position is best suited for an individual who is a strong team member, enjoys wound care and developing new skills and is comfortable with a physically active work environment. The Advanced Wound Center Nurse Practitioner serves a very diverse body of patients of all ages. The clinic is open Monday-Friday and closed for 7 major holidays.
Asante Ashland Community Hospital, located in Ashland, Oregon, is a 49-bed community hospital that features a birthing center, surgery center, diagnostic imaging, a laboratory, respiratory testing and surgery. Outpatient services include internal medicine, home health and hospice care, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine. Founded in 1907, the hospital has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of the community and the changing demands of healthcare.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
Licensure: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) and Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start.
Certifications: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start. Certified Wound Specialist preferred. National Wound Care certification required. Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges; Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Experience: At least 1 year of independent practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner or new grad NP with wound care experience working under protocols as a WOCN/WCN required.
