POSITION SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services to a wide variety of patients and works closely with others on the rehabilitation team and in other departments. This position exists in order to provide patients/clients with quality, cost-effective services aimed at optimizing independent function. May include weekend and holiday work as assigned as hours of work may vary according to patient care needs. Individuals may be assigned permanently, temporarily or simultaneously to more than one worksite where specific job requirements are described as an addendum to this document. For this reason, therapists are expected to be generalists able to provide at least basic assessment to all referred patients.
We are looking for individuals who thrive in a positive, team-oriented work environment, and who want to practice their craft in a supportive, development-oriented workplace - and who are comfortable working in intensive care, general medical and surgical units. Therapists must be flexible as to assignments and weekend rotations and may be asked to cover other worksites.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent or certificate from a school of Physical Therapy is required
Experience
- None required outside of licensure
Licensure/Certifications
- PT: Physical Therapist licensed by Oregon Physical Therapist Licensing Board required upon start
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
