POSITION SUMMARY

Our Psychiatric Care Unit (PCU)is located on the first floor of Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center (ARRMC) in the Emergency Department (ED) and provides safety and treatment to patients presenting in the E.D. experiencing a mental health crisis. The PCU offers an emergency department experience for those who like a fast pace work environment, but with the added component of using psychiatric nursing skills. Our nurses often float from our BHU to our PCU. Experienced Psychiatric nurses demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, empathy and demonstrate resilience

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Related Mental Health Nursing experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience within last 3 years preferred
• Completion of Sanctuary training preferred

License/Certification

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required upon start
• Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
• ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Board Certified preferred
