Lab Asst/Specimen Processor

Asante is currently offering a $750 sign on bonus upon hire and a $750 retention bonus after 6 months for any qualified external candidate who applies and is hired into a part-time or full-time position. Bonus payment amounts are prorated based on FTE accepted.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior education or demonstrated knowledge in medical terminology

• 1 year laboratory experience or a combination of education and or related experience in a healthcare setting providing knowledge of medical terminology is required
• Specimen processing experience including esoteric reference lab specimen handling and packaging, preferred
• Phlebotomy experience and/or knowledge of laboratory tests and /or laboratory ordering processes, preferred
• College courses/credits toward advanced degree, especially science course work, preferred
• Data entry, keyboarding experience and computer proficiency, preferred

• Medical Laboratory Assistant through the Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) preferred.

• Good organizational skills that ensure accurate processing under adverse conditions
• Detail oriented and ability to multi-task while maintaining a calm and effectual demeanor
