PSG Sleep Technologist 2 ARRMC (Sleep Lab)

Status: .9 FTE

Our Licensed & Registered Polysomnographic Technologist position represents an important step in the continuum of care for patient's suffering from a sleep disorder in our community. The PSG Tech II will act as a key member of our sleep care team. The PSG Tech II is responsible for assessing, educating and providing individualized care to overnight patients who undergo diagnostic and/or PAP treatment titrations. This position will work closely with the sleep specialist providers at APP Pulmonary to understand the root cause of patient's sleep issues and implement effective treatment plans.

Asante Sleep Center in Medford is a 10-bed lab and has been continuously accredited for 30 years with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Our sister lab located in Grants Pass is a 4-bed lab and has been accredited for 1-year. Our team of consists of Registered PSG Night Techs, Registered PSG Score Techs, Registered and credentialed Clinical Sleep Educators, a Registered Insomnia Education Coordinator; a Registered Education Coordinator, a Registered Clinical Manager, and office support staff. Physician and mid-level providers from APP Pulmonary work closely with Sleep Center staff. We meet 6-times per year to conduct a sleep case review meeting where ideas are shared and heard; we value the team approach where everyone has a voice. We collaborate with other specialty groups to provide coordinated care for our sleep patients.

What Makes Us Different

Our team-based approach is open to innovative ideas by all members of the care team. We are currently conducting a clinical research trial using Clinical Sleep Educators, (RPSGTs who are also Credentialed in Clinical Sleep Health, CCSH), this provides a pathway for a PSG Tech II to advance to daytime work assisting patients with PAP issues and adherence.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with providers and leadership to deliver quality diagnostic polysomnograms and PAP titrations for overnight patients.

Provide individualized patient assessments, care and treatment as part of a coordinated plan with a goal of improving health care quality.

Perform appropriate screenings and educational assessments as appropriate. Educate patients on resources available to them.

What You Must Have

Education

Associates or bachelor's degree is preferable, however certification by a CAAHEP program is acceptable.

Experience

Experience as a Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist for 1-year performing overnight diagnostic testing and PAP titrations.

Experience working in the medical field as a medical assistant, CNA or equivalent.

Licensure

Licensed by the State of Oregon as an RT-S.

Registered by the Board of Polysomnographic Technologists, (RPSGT) or a CRT or RRT with a Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS).
