Surgery Aide - $15.65 and up, depending on experience

Surgery Aide 2 - $16.66 and up, depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of the patient care team, the Surgery Aide 2 works under the supervision of the RN's in the unit. Responsibilities include assisting in direct patient care and transport; transporting specimens; assisting in room turnovers; participating in equipment assembly and maintenance; and other duties as assigned to augment the nursing care team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position

Experience

  • Experience working within a healthcare team in direct patient care areas is required for Surgery Aide 2

Certifications

  • BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon start
  • CNA: CNA or equivalent licensure (e.g. EMT), preferred
