POSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Dietitian Specialist provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for patients per the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including assessing, determining nutritional diagnosis(es), determining intervention(s), and monitoring and evaluating progress and/or outcome(s). May provide nutrition and population health services to patients in an outpatient setting. Working with a team of healthcare professionals, the Registered Dietitian Specialist will lead integration of nutrition, wellness, population health and behavior change strategies with a goal to improve the health and well-being of a population.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, institutional management or equivalent is required
• Must have successfully completed Commission on Dietetics Registration (CDR) accredited internship or a coordinated undergraduate program in dietetics
• Master's Degree in food and nutrition, dietetics, institutional management, or equivalent, preferred

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of dietetic experience is required

Licensure/Certifications

• RD : Must have Registered Dietitian within 30 days of hire
• CDE: Certified Diabetes Educator, preferred
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA), preferred
