This is a remote/work from home position - however, due to our pay practices, qualified candidates must reside in one of the following states: OR, WA, CA, NV, CO, AZ, ID, KY, TN, GA, NC, OK, TX, MA, PA, FL, ME, ND, MO, AK. While candidates need to live or relocate to one of the aforementioned states, working remotely will require reliable broadband internet and personal cell phone service. Remote work may include day-to-day operations, off hour on-call coverage, or online training. Salary is based on qualifications and years of relevant experience.

Position Summary

The AHN Operations Program Manager is responsible for driving, integrating and managing the operations programs of Asante Health Network (AHN) consistent with its Population Health and Clinical Integration strategy. Specifically, the Operations Program Manager has accountability to manage the overarching multiple interdependencies, timelines, sequencing, and outcomes pertaining to AHN payer contract performance programs, network infrastructure programs and AHN provider group operations programs in order to assure a successful, comprehensive and sustainable transformation to value-based care delivery and financial models.

In this role, the areas of responsibility include:

  • Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, and Organizational Development - Creating a culture that fosters staff self-development and continued learning; defining the qualifications and performance expectations for all staff position; ensuring the competence of all staff is assessed, maintained, demonstrated and improved continually.
  • Vision and Strategy - Communicating and implementing the strategic direction of the organization that fulfills the mission, vision, and values of Asante. This position is critical to the development and monitoring of Asante's transformation to a model of population health and in fulfilling Asante's financial and clinical strategy. In addition, this position provides input into the Population Health Strategic Plan.
  • Constituent Relationships - Serving as a key organizational leader in fostering and delivering vibrant and highly-engaged interdependencies and joint operational systems with AHN's varied constituents including AHN and Asante department leaders; AHN provider groups; payers; employers; brokers; and the general public. Encouraging feedback from internal and external customers to monitor service effectiveness, identify problems with work processes, and ensuring customer needs are met.
  • System Performance and Improvement - Setting expectations, developing plans and managing processes to measure, assess and improve the quality of AHN's management, clinical and support activities.
  • Financial Performance - Maintaining adherence to budgets and other financial targets and aiding others in cost effectiveness endeavors.
  • Regulatory Requirements - Maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements and ensuring those are implemented as mandated by regulatory bodies.
  • Operational Systems - Developing, implementing and managing assigned AHN Operations Programs

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in managing operational programs, process improvement and customer relations within the context of a health system, medical provider group, health insurance organization or related healthcare organizations is required. Such experience will reflect a successful track record in the following areas: 1) implementation and management of complex operational systems, 2) healthcare provider payment mechanisms, 3) strategic planning, 4) team building, 7) customer service 8) performance improvement and 9) finance and budgeting.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts, individually and through committees, to assess, define and implement focused change management also required.
