Salary: $17.74-$22.18/hour depending on qualifications and experience

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nutrition Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and leading Nutrition Services staff in completion of daily shift duties and activities. This includes coordinating food production and service for patients and the cafeteria; and monitoring food for temperature, quality and portion control. May also coordinate catering events.

As a Nutrition Services Coordinator with Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

• Ensure the department is maintained in a safe, clean and sanitary condition to meet state/federal regulations
• Demonstrate and encourage teamwork with staff in maintaining our Goal of Excellence which is to be our best at all times and to provide a service to our customers that is at our highest level of quality
• Demonstrate good decision-making skills in all situations and inspire confidence in subordinates and peers
• Actively participate in required meetings and in-service to improve the quality and efficiency of the unit

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience in institutional food preparation/cooking is required
• 1-2 years of experience in a progressively more responsible role also required

Certifications

• Oregon Food Handler Card issued by an agency approved by Oregon Department of Health required
• ODL: Oregon Driver's License with proof of safe driving record for the past 10 years and proof of insurance required
• CDM: Certified Dietary Manager, preferred
