Position Summary

The Dietetic Tech visits patients and performs nutrition screening and other services under the direction of a registered dietician.

As a Dietetic Tech for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform Nutrition Screening for patients to assure adequate medical nutritional therapy
  • Perform Nutrition Assessment and Documentation to assure adequate medical nutritional therapy
  • Carry out Nutrition Intervention Education and Care Planning for hospitalized patients to assure adequate medical nutritional therapy
  • Maintain clinical competencies, Registration and Licensure/certification to ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
  • Provide excellence in customer service to meet customer/patient satisfaction goals

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of hospital experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent and successful completion of an ADA approved dietetic technology program
  • Successful completion of the registration examination for dietetic technicians

One of the following also required:

  • DTR: Dietetic Technician Registered, or
  • NDTR: Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered (NDTR) by Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
