Position Summary

The Mammography Tech at Asante Ashland Women's Imaging Center performs diagnostic mammography and screening studies as directed, according to established standards and practices. Duties are delegated in relation to the degree of training and in accordance with the policies of Asante and respective to state laws governing such action and activities. Various mammographic procedures used in diagnosis and treatment of disease, requiring independent and professional judgment, according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications

Education

• None outside of licensure
• Bachelor of Science in Radiology or equivalent degree preferred

Experience

• 2 or more years of experience in Mammography modality preferred

Licensure/Certification

• Licensed in Radiography ARRT in (RT) and Mammography (M) and by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with certification in Mammography (M).
• BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
