Asante is currently hiring Respiratory Therapists for FULL-TIME and PART-TIME benefited positions for a variety of Swing and Night shifts at Asante Rogue Regional Hospital in Medford, Oregon

After seeing Respiratory Therapists in action during the past two years, Asante recognizes our Respiratory Therapists' contributions more than ever. These skilled practitioners care for our sickest patients suffering from a wide variety disorders using their knowledge of scientific principles, underlying cardiopulmonary physiology and pathophysiology, biomedical engineering and technology.

Asante provides training and development opportunities to grow within a variety of specialty areas including:

  • Adult ICU
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • In-flight therapy
  • NICU/Newborn care
  • Pediatrics
  • Pulmonary Diagnostics
  • Sleep Center

We also have an established career path for our Respiratory Therapists at Asante, which includes the following roles:

Respiratory Care Practitioner 1 - work in non-critical care areas and no prior experience is required

Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 - work in critical care areas and require at least six months of prior experience

Respiratory Care Practitioner 3 - advanced role that allows you to work at the top of your license and provides you with a high level of autonomy to assess patients and build and implement a care plan. These roles are typically split into two groups:

      • Adult Critical Care Specialist
      • NICU

Please see the requirements for each Respiratory Care Practitioner level below:

RCP-1:

  • Completion of Respiratory Therapy education program and current licensure by the state of Oregon
  • Current or former CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Respiratory Therapy - Permanent License by the Oregon Health Authority
      • Respiratory Therapy - Temp license by the Oregon Health Authority may be considered and permanent licensure must be obtained within 6 months of hire

RCP-2:

  • Completion of Respiratory Therapy education program and current licensure by the state of Oregon and experience specific to the posted Advanced Practitioner specialty position. Such experience should indicate that the applicant would be able to demonstrate advanced competencies after completion of orientation(s).
  • Current or former RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Respiratory Therapy - Permanent license by the Oregon Health Authority
      • Respiratory Therapy - Temp license may be considered and permanent licensure must be obtained within 6 months of hire

RCP-3:

  • Completion of Respiratory Therapy education program and current licensure by the state of Oregon and experience specific to the posted Advanced Practitioner specialty position. Such experience should indicate that the applicant would be able to demonstrate advanced competencies after completion of orientation(s). The Respiratory Care Practitioner 3 can practice in all adult areas of the hospital and may specialize in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Adult Critical Care Specialist or act as department liaison and lead for administrative, training and system wide alignment.
  • Current or former RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • RT-P: Respiratory Therapy - Permanent license by the Oregon Health Authority (OHA)
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification

*All positions require Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association upon start
