POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Office Specialist performs functions required to facilitate accurate billing data. In this role, the Business Office Specialist participates in internal and external audits, providing information on patient charges and medical services received; conducts continual reviews of financial entries into the accounts receivable system; acts as back-up Cashier as appropriate; and works proactively with staff and the public providing a friendly and knowledgeable reception for the Asante customer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
  • Associates degree in healthcare discipline, computer science or related field, preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of financial, accounting, or coding-type experience in a professional setting, preferably in healthcare, is required
