POSITION SUMMARY

The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator performs a wide variety of clerical duties such as scheduling, inputting of daily charges, forms, statistics, etc. to assist surgical staff in meeting patient care needs. This position will also act as a liaison between physician's offices, ancillary departments, and the surgical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as required for the position is required
• Associate degree in business administration preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years clerical experience in a fast-paced, medical or professional environment, providing knowledge of computer programs and excellent communication skills is required
• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
