Fast facts about Asante
Asante is the largest and most comprehensive health care system in Southern Oregon and Northern California and includes three hospitals, an urgent care center, and more than 40 medical offices that offer a diverse range of services, including primary care, labs, imaging and specialty clinics.
- Asante has plans to invest $1 billion over the next 10 years to meet the needs of our growing populace, treat more patients locally and strengthen the Southern Oregon health care system. Our expansion plans include a new tower, cancer center, behavioral health center, emergency room extension and new medical offices.
- We are a physician-governed and community-led organization that honors the value of each and every person, no matter the color of their skin, their gender, their sexual orientation, their political affiliation or their country of origin. Does it rain a lot in Southern Oregon?
Medford gets only 23 inches of rain per year compared with the US average of 38 inches of rain per year. However, we are still waiting for someone to go outside and manually measure this one themselves. Not it!

You can feel safe roaming the outdoors here. We are pretty certain we saw Bigfoot pack up and head to Washington.
What is the correct pronunciation of "Oregon”?
We won’t hold it against you if you learned to pronounce it as "Or-e-gawn”. The locals insist the correct pronunciation is "OR-eh-g-in.”
